YOUR VICTORY IS GUARANTEED

YOUR VICTORY IS GUARANTEED

“And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to
set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you,
and let him come down to me. If he be able to fight with me and to kill me, then will we be your
servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.” 1
Samuel 17:8-9 (KJV)

In the story of David and Goliath, you will notice that Goliath was careful to tell Saul and his
army, I don’t need all of you to fight. He said the way we fight this battle: we don't need
everyone in the field. He said give me your champion and let him come and face me. I am the
champion for the Philistines. If your champion defeats me, we will surrender to all of you. But if
I defeat your champion, all of you will surrender to us. That is the rule of engagement. That has
always been God’s modus operandi. The devil pulled that one when he made Adam fall.

And so the scripture tells us very clearly that: “…by one man sin entered into the world, and
death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12). And by
the same token, it has to take another man to bring redemption, deliverance, and victory to man.
And that man is Jesus.

So, Goliath requested saying, let your champion come. Give me a man! And the children of
Israel were all hiding because there was no man. He was so confident in himself. He was so
arrogant believing that the children of Israel were finished. But David, a type of Jesus, showed
up, confronted Goliath, and won a great victory for Israel.
No power can stop you. Jesus, our representative has won the victory on our behalf. He has
defeated the devil. Our part is to take the spoils, just like the Israelites did after David defeated
Goliath.

The devil is a defeated foe. No matter what the devil has packaged against you, your victory is
guaranteed in Christ. You cannot be stranded. As hell could not stop Jesus nothing can stop you.
