YOUR SURVIVAL IS IN REMAINING IN GOD’S PRESENCE

YOUR SURVIVAL IS IN REMAINING IN GOD’S PRESENCE

“What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.” Psalms 114: 5-7 KJV

Everything that God created survives in its natural environment. The fish survives inside water. If you take the fish out of the water, it will start to struggle and pretty soon, it will die. The lion survives in the jungle. Birds do not struggle to fly in the sky because it is in their nature to fly. Everything God created to be in water survives inside water. God made us in His image and likeness to survive in His presence. Outside of His presence, there is no survival.

One of the easiest ways you can access the presence of God is through praise and worship because according to the scriptures, God inhabits in the praises of His people.  “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel” (Psalms 22:3 KJV).

Many times, as a result of the pressure we encounter, we ignore this. We let the challenges of life overwhelm us. So, the very instrument that will bring us out of our situation, we often ignore. There is no challenge that faces anyone of us that God has not given us adequate provision to bring us out. It is either we are neglecting what He has said or neglecting the provisions He has made; consequently, we become victims of satanic onslaught.

Child of God, when you praise and worship God, you have access to His presence because that’s where He dwells. No wonder in Exodus 33:14, Moses says to God: “if your presence does not go with us, do not take us up from here.” God assured him that His presence would go with them and then give them rest. The most powerful place to be is in the presence of God. God’s presence gives rest, pleasure and fullness of joy. This was the secret David discovered.
