YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN IN CHRIST

YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN IN CHRIST

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” (Ephesians 1:7 KJV)

The Bible says in Romans 3:20-22 “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:” For this reason, God will not ask you to work to receive anything from him, because before any Christian appeared on the face of the earth, the blood had been shed. Hebrew 4:3 says the works were finished from the foundation of the world. All your sins, past, present and future have been forgiven.

Over 2000 years ago Jesus shed his blood for all our sins, which were all in the future. The day you gave your life to Christ, the sin issue was permanently dealt with, because God doesn’t want you to begin to think sin but righteousness. That is because as a man thinks in his heart so he is.

And Hebrews 2:11 indicates that God made the choice to be with you, you didn’t beg Him. Therefore, it is not predicated on what you do right or wrong. Right or wrong you are still righteous. When you were a sinner, there were some good deeds you performed such as helping the aged, but that did not translate you to the kingdom of God. You were still a sinner despite your good deeds. In the same vein now that you are righteous, what makes you think that because you missed the mark, God will tell you to go back to where you started? Your mistake does not nullify your righteousness or strip you of it because your righteousness is a gift. Write it boldly on the wall of your house or stick it to your fridge “I AM RIGHTEOUS.” The more you focus on your new state, the more the sins that so easily besets you fall off effortlessly.
