YOUR SINS ARE COMPLETELY FORGIVEN

YOUR SINS ARE COMPLETELY FORGIVEN

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.)

Romans 5:18 (KJV)

The gospel of Jesus Christ is good news. In Christ, your sins, past, present and future have been forgiven. That is the good news. Am I saying that God has gone slack on sin? No! I didn’t say that? If you see the cross, you will see evidence of God’s disdain for sin and yet His love for man. God hates sin, but loves the sinner.

Over the years, the church has preached legalism and the result is that the church has been bound and the people keep on struggling in roller coaster Christianity. You want to live for God but you find out that you are missing it. What is wrong? It is because our teachings have been wrong. And today, God is putting the message of grace in the forefront. He is saying that we should tell the world that once they are in Christ, He is not imputing their sins on them. Why? Because it has been imputed on Christ. It will be an insult to the finished work of Christ for you to think that God will now judge you, when He has judged His son.

Somebody says Bro Mike what of my actions that don’t line up. Don’t worry about that. Look at what the bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:18: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of truth. He will not bear witness to falsehood. When you say you are a sinner because you made a mistake He won’t bear witness. But when you accept what God says you are, He now works in you to ensure your actions align. That is how it happens. Praise God for His extravagant grace!

It bears repetition, you must first be righteous to do righteous. When you believe, your actions will align with the word of God.
