YOU WILL HAVE THE FINAL WORD

YOU WILL HAVE THE FINAL WORD

“So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.” 1 Samuel 30:3-4 (KJV)

Without a doubt, this was a frustrating challenge. David was greatly distressed. They wept until they couldn’t weep anymore. They didn’t know what to do. Think of it! What do you do when you don’t know what to do? What do you do when all hope seems lost? What do you do when you seem to be stranded?

Beloved, no matter how distressing your circumstance may be, you will have the final word. Don’t give up. Don’t throw up your hands in surrender. In Christ, we triumph always! No matter the pressure you are under, the only way to go is to go forward. You can’t go back! You have gone too far with the Lord to go back. You must understand that God does not abandon His own.

So, what did David do? David encouraged himself in the Lord His God. His strength had failed. His expertise had failed! Everything he trusted in had failed! But he remembered His God. He went to inquire of the Lord and the Lord gave him direction. When you don’t know what to do, go to the Lord. The Lord always knows what to do. He is your wisdom. All David did was simply follow the instructions he received from God. “…Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8 (KJV).

David and his men pursued the enemy, and they recovered all that the enemy took. You will without fail recover all. You will recover whatever the enemy has stolen from you. God has not abandoned you. It may be tough and challenging, but you have the final word. The final word is still in your mouth. You must never accept the lies of the devil.
