YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED

YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED

“On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.”

Esther 6:1 (KJV)

Many times frustrations come to man because he thinks that the seeds of the past have been forgotten. I encourage you today, never stop doing what you know to do because I am certain that you will be remembered. When the time to bless you comes, a king will lose sleep because of you.

In our scripture today, the king could not sleep for whatever reason. Interestingly, he did not ask for a tranquilizer, he did not ask for a movie, he asked for the book of records. Why the book of records? It is because God had Mordecai in mind and God was going to set in motion a series of events that will lead to the deliverance of His people. God is a Master-planner. Nothing is accidental or coincidental with God. If you read the story, Haman’s plot was not yet hatched, yet God had started bursting his bubbles.

Think of it: What if Mordecai had demanded gratification when he exposed the plan to kill the king? Do you realise that the story would have ended there. No matter the dream of Mordecai, he could never have dreamt of the level of honor he got. Take a lesson from here today. No matter how unjustly treated you feel, never manipulate your gratification. Those who manipulate end up short changing themselves. If you look for short-cuts, you will end up cutting yourself short. Things may not happen the way you expect, but leave it in the hands of God. Let God honor you by Himself. When God works it out, it will be bigger, better and more appropriately timed than you could ever have imagined.

“Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” (Isaiah 51:11 KJV) I will hear your testimony!
