YOU: THE BELOVED OF GOD

YOU: THE BELOVED OF GOD

“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17 KJV
Has it ever occurred to you that the reason why the devil is mad at you is because he knows that you are the beloved of God? Jesus went to John the Baptist to be baptized in river Jordan. At first, John tried to resist it because he knew who Jesus was. “But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? (Matthew 3:14 KJV)
In verse 15: “Jesus …… said unto him, suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him”(KJV)
Immediately after His baptism, the voice of God affirmed Him as His beloved Son.
Now Jesus heard it very clearly that He is the beloved Son of God. But it was not Jesus only who heard it. The devil also heard it. Every time God makes a promise to you, it is not only  you that heard it. The devil heard it and God’s angels heard it also. Since the devil heard it, the assignment of the devil is to ensure that what God spoke concerning you will never come to pass. That means the devil believed and that’s why he is fighting it.
All we need as believers is to believe too. But unfortunately, some of us believe the devil more than God. Just believe. God’s Word has no margin for failure. This truth must become a personal revelation to you.
Remember that all that Christ is, you are. “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world” (1John 4:17 KJV). If He is the beloved of God, you are also the beloved of God.  That is who you are. The beloved of God! He is well pleased with you! And there is nothing the devil can do about it.
