YOU NEED TO MATURE

YOU NEED TO MATURE

“Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;”
Galatians 4:1 KJV

We need to have knowledge. Knowledge is power. The Bible says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) Ephesians 4:13 teaches us that the purpose of the five-fold ministry is to equip you to have knowledge of the Son of God unto the measure of the status of the fullness of Christ. So that you, henceforth, will be no more children.

Galatians 4:1 tells us that the heir as long as he is a child is not different from a servant though he be lord of all. As long as you make up your mind not to mature you could be 20 years in Christ and yet remain a baby. When you should grow into the deeper things of God, you are looking for somebody to begin to teach you again about salvation. No wonder Paul says we should not be talking about fornication in the Church. It should not be named, because it doesn’t belong there.

If you are maturing, there are things that don’t belong to that company of believers. He said, “let it not be once named among them”. Rather than growing, every day, we are telling you to live for Christ. We are telling you how to get to church on time and about paying your tithe. We are still teaching you about giving and about visiting one another, when you should be maturing into the voice of God on planet earth.

Maturity is the main purpose of the Church. Maturity does not depend on your age. I have seen young people who became Christians and, in a year, they have ‘devoured’ the bible.  They entered into it and ate it all. When you listen to them, they talk as spiritual giants. And there are people who have been 20 years in Christianity and are completely devoid of knowledge.

Beloved, I challenge you today to make a quality decision to grow up in Christ.
