YOU HAVE SEEN WELL
“Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”
Jeremiah 1:12
What we see is very important. Like I mentioned two days ago, the eye is a gate to your mind. What you see has the ability to determine what you get.
Stop for a moment and ask yourself: what are you seeing? The world we live in is so primed for evil that many times, the negatives flood our minds and form the picture in your heart. But you must consciously dethrone it and paint the picture you desire. Like the popular saying: what you see is what you get.
What are you seeing? The writer of Hebrews enjoins us to look unto Jesus; “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” (Heb. 12:2). When your eyes are fixed on Jesus, what do you see? You see all that He died for – you see your body healed by His stripes, you see your needs met from His abundance. You see all that He has made available to you.
2 Corinthians 4:18 also says “while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” God intends for us to fix our eyes on Jesus, and not on our circumstances. Situations are subject to change, but the Word of God stands forever. If you would observe the natural, situations have changed over time. For instance, if you wanted to read a book before now, you had to drive to a bookshop to find the book and purchase it. But now, at the click of a button, you can have the book on your device. Things have indeed changed, but one thing that has remained constant over time is the Word of God. It is still as powerful and as strong as it was centuries ago. So, fix your eyes on the Word of God and the Word will produce for you.
