YOU HAVE BEEN EMPOWERED TO SUCCEED

YOU HAVE BEEN EMPOWERED TO SUCCEED

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”. Genesis 1:28 (KJV)

The Bible tells us that when man was made; he was made in the image and likeness of God. And when God opened His mouth to speak; the first declaration He made over the man was that He blessed them. In other words, He empowered them to succeed. Not only were they empowered, but they were also told to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue the earth and have dominion.

So, God’s ultimate purpose is for you to advance in life, to move forward and multiply, and stand out amid challenges. This has always been God’s design, purpose, and plan for man. However, when sin entered, everything changed.

Adam was clearly told by God what to eat and what not to eat when He made the garden. “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”(Genesis 2:16-17 KJV)

Adam was allowed to eat of every tree in the garden, except the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which is what I will call the tree of sin or the tree of commandments. God did not want man to operate by rules and regulations; He wants man to walk by relationship.

The instruction was very clear! “When you eat that one: that tree of sin, that tree of law, you will die”. Don’t eat of it! Eat of every other tree. But don’t eat this of one. The day you eat it, you will surely die. When man fell, he came short of God’s empowerment. Thank God for Jesus, who came to restore God’s glory upon man. Today, you have been empowered to succeed as a believer in Christ.
