YOU HAVE BEEN DELIVERED

YOU HAVE BEEN DELIVERED

“But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” Obadiah‬ 1:17

The phrase “Mount Zion” is speaking concerning the church. Every Bible student and Theologian knows that Mount Zion refers to the church. It refers to God’s people. Every believer must understand that he is not going to be delivered but he has been delivered. You must understand this truth clearly. The very first sentence in Obadiah 1: 17 is “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance” this implies that the church is already delivered. Prophet Obadiah was prophesying about what will happen in the future. This prophecy speaks to the Church age. And it has been fulfilled in Christ.

Remember that the just can only be delivered through knowledge. According to the scriptures: “Through wisdom is an house builded; And by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled With all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong; Yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.” (Proverbs‬ 24:3)

Knowledge is power and it is very important. Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”. God’s people are destroyed not because the devil is powerful, but because we don’t have revelations.

Believers must have the mentality that they are not the victims. The church is a new creation. The church is not refurbished. The church is not Jew, and neither is the church Gentile. The Church is a brand-new specie called the New Creation. The New Creation has been equipped with power, authority, strength, and might. So, the church is already delivered!

And because the church is delivered, the work of reconciling people back to God has been committed into her hands. We now have the mandate to go and reconcile the rest of the world to God. That is our assignment!
