YOU ARE UNDER THE NEW COVENANT

YOU ARE UNDER THE NEW COVENANT

“For if the first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah:”
(Hebrews 8:7-8 KJV)

There are dispensations in the bible. And we must understand what obtains in each dispensation. What obtains in one dispensation may not apply to another dispensation. What has been happening over the years is that we have mixed up dispensations, and the result has been frustration. We are not standing as strong as we ought to because we have mixed up a lot of things.

God established covenant in every dispensation and released His blessings based on the covenant. It is very important therefore to rightly divide the word so that we can be positioned for His blessings. When Jesus came, under the dispensation of grace, the old covenant became obsolete and the new covenant which was promised by God came into force. The old covenant did not work. It was faulty. And the fault laid in the fact that man could not keep it. Therefore, God set it aside and decided to make a new one. “In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.” (Hebrews 8:13 KJV)

God said the type of covenant He will make, man will not be involved. In other words, what you do will not determine whether God blesses you. It is a covenant that is established on better promises “…by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant which was established upon better promises.” (Hebrew 8:6 KJV) Why are you still hanging on to the old covenant when God provided a better one. Under this covenant, God takes the responsibility to bless you and keeps your heaven open because He so much loves you. So don’t put yourself under condemnation. You are not under the law. You are under grace.
