YOU ARE NOT A MERE MAN

If you are in Christ, then you must stop looking at yourself as a mere man. Beloved, your body is your suit. Your body is not you. It is a suit, it’s not you. The dress you are wearing is not you; it is just your dress. When you put off the dress, it is lifeless. The dress is moving because you put it on. Many are using the body to describe the person. But Apostle Paul said: “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh:” (2 Corinthians 5:16 KJV)

For too long, many have described themselves by their bodies. What is happening is that you have forgotten that Paul says that we have these treasures in an earthen vessel. When you describe yourself by your body, you will begin to see your weakness instead of the strength that is inside you. Consider these scriptures: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4 KJV) “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4 KJV)

The problem of the church is that believers are looking at themselves rather than looking at the word. “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV) That is why you can’t get tired of the word, because as you look at the word, you see yourself.

Jesus was not intimidated by the fact that Lazarus had been dead and had been in the grave for four days. He was aware of who He was. This is how you are called to function, as one who has been given the dominion mandate and not beggarly.
