YOU ARE HOLY

“Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

Holiness happened to you on the day you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. But as you keep on walking in the word of God, your holiness will continue to mature. Just like when a new baby is delivered in the labour room, the baby has all the features and characteristics of a human being already. You can’t say because he is a baby, he is not a human being. You will begin to clean the baby up. And it will come to a time in the growth of that baby where he doesn’t need help any longer. He can now walk on his own.

So, you need to know that you are already holy. If you don’t understand it, the devil will accuse you and tell you that you are not good enough to possess your possessions. You were filthy until you were cleansed and made holy by the precious blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.

Holiness means you are different from the world. You see things differently from the way the world sees things. You behave differently from the way the world behaves. You are different from the world because you have been separated unto God in Christ. The book of Colossians 1:27 declares that “…Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

Christ in you sets you apart. Not only that but Christ inside you is also the joyful confident expectation that things will turn around for good on your behalf. Christ in you is the joyful confident expectation that you will succeed; it is the joyful confident expectation that everything good you desire will manifest. Christ in you is also the joyful confident expectation that every bad thing will not befall you.
