YOU ARE HEADED FOR A GOOD DESTINATION
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of
evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
There is no person born on the surface of this earth that is an accident. Ever before you were
born, there were things that God already predetermined about you. He had already planned
out what He wanted you to become in life. Before you were born, He appointed you for glory
and honour. Not only that, but He also invested in you all that you need to become everything
that He has ordained for you to be.
James 1:7 made it very clear: “Every good and every perfect gift is from above and cometh
down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”. So,
there are things that you should become. If God has planned certain things for you, then those
things must be good. What this means is that you are headed for a good destination. Not only
are you headed for a good destination, but you also have the potential of arriving at a good
destination that will bring God glory. Everyone has the potential to become all that God
ordained.
The MESSAGE translation of our text says: “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned
out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”
(Jeremiah 29:10-11 MSG)
God says: ‘I have all your life figured out. I have planned it before you were conceived. “For
whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that
He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He did predestinate, them
He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He
also glorified.” (Romans 8:29-30 KJV)
Glory is your end, not shame! Not disgrace! And not humiliation! Yes, sometimes you may pass
through the banana peels and the detours of life, but in the end, you will get to where God has
ordained you. Relax!!!
