YOU ARE CALLED FOR GLORY
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory”. Colossians 1:27 KJV
The word ‘Glory’ is from the root word ‘doxa’; meaning ‘manifest presence.’ Another root
word is ‘Kabod’, meaning heavyweight. It means that you are a heavy-weight. Your words
are weighty. Where the word of the king is, there is power. The word ‘glory’ talks about
prosperity. We are called for glory; not for shame. You are so important to Heaven that
Christ died for you. That is the ultimate proof of how important you are to God. ‘He who
spared not His only Son and gave Him up for us, how shall He not with Him also, freely give
us all things?’ The present suffering is not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall
be revealed in us, for the glory of the latter-day house shall be greater than the former.
Colossians 1:27 says, ‘Christ in you is the hope of glory’. That means a confident expectation
that your story will not end in shame. You do not need to bother about how you will turn
out. Rather, be confident that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it. Stop
looking at where you are now. Let your focus be on where God is taking you to. The book of
2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass, the glory of the
Lord, are changed into the same image…” Your true image is what God said and not what
you are experiencing.
Unfortunately, most times, we fail to see what God is showing us, which is our true image.
Your right image is God and His picture concerning you is what He finished. God lives in the
‘eternal now.’ As far as He is concerned, the matter is already completed. Praise God! So, as
you behold the final product, you eventually become it. You are changed from glory to glory
by the Spirit of God.
