YOU ARE CALLED FOR A HIGHER PURPOSE

YOU ARE CALLED FOR A HIGHER PURPOSE

“And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.” Genesis 28:20-22 (KJV)

Jacob had just had a supernatural experience that none other had. God had appeared to him promising to give him the entire world. God had a greater picture for his life. I have decided that My Hand will rest upon you in a mighty way so that you can be what I have ordained for you to be.

But listen to Jacob’s request. Lord just be with me! Give me some food to eat and clothes to wear. That is enough for me. That was a survival mentality! That same mentality is upon a lot of people who say they are believers. God is ready to release the awesome potentials on the inside of you but what you are looking for is food to eat and clothes to wear. Give me a building. Is that all Jesus died for?

No wonder Jesus said: “…take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?” (Matthew 6:31 KJV). He wants you to know that your life is more important than these things. He said take no thought because He will take care of them.

Many today are violating biblical principles because of what to eat, what to drink. Many are killing themselves with worry and yet the Lord says: “…your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things” (Matthew 6:32 KJV). He wants you to know that you are called to a higher purpose than these.
