YOU ARE A SON

“Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” (Galatians 4:7 KJV)

In Galatians 4:1, the scriptures say: “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;” Paul was writing to the church saying that as long as an heir is a child there is no difference between him and a servant. The word “son” here is not referring to men; son here refers to both men and women. Every born again child of God is referred to here as a son. We are Abraham’s seed. He who knew no sin became sin that we may be made the righteousness of God on earth. As a believer, you are righteous. Not by your effort; but He made you righteous.

Righteousness is God’s nature. Righteousness is your right standing with God. It is what gives you access into the presence of God. Righteousness is standing in front of God as if you have never sinned. Righteousness is your bill of right that makes you know that when you pray it must be answered. That is your heritage. It belongs to you. Don’t struggle for it. It is yours because you have been born into the family of God.

You are loaded! If you don’t know it and don’t put on the mentality, you will be begging for what belongs to you. You are not called for shame! Therefore, you will not see shame. He has already determined your end. Your end is glorious. “…Whom He justified, them He also glorified.” (Romans 8:30 KJV) So a believer must not go about expecting shame. That is not your heritage. Christ in you is the hope of Glory. You can call Him Daddy. You can jump on his lap because He is your Daddy. This must be your mentality. You cannot be rejected or refused. Can Jesus be rejected? No! So you also can’t be denied. He is your Father. You are no more a servant but a son and you have access to everything your Father created. Praise God!
