YOU ALREADY HAVE BOTH GRACE AND FAITH
Comments
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8 (KJV)
Under normal circumstance, a teacher does not set an examination questions on what he has not already taught his students. God also will not demand anything from you unless He has already equipped you for it.
In the book of Habakkuk 2:4 the bible declares: “…… the just shall live by his faith”(KJV) Romans 1:16-17 also tells us: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith”(KJV). Galatians 3:11 tells the same thing: “….The just shall live by faith” (KJV).
You see, God cannot tell you to live by what you don’t have. You already have faith. When did you have faith? Let’s look at the book of Ephesians 2:8: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (KJV).
In other words, God gave you the supernatural faith the day you were saved otherwise you could not have been saved. God gave it to you! It is a gift!
The book of 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 also illustrates this principle. The enemy was coming against Paul because of the abundance of revelation. So the more revelation you receive, the more you are under attack. And the more you know, the more you can rest in what God has made available to you. Paul now began to ask God to take away this reproach and this attack by the enemy? And the Lord said to him: “My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (KJV).
Paul, the Grace that you have received is greater than any adversity. The deposit of God in you is sufficient to deal with anything the enemy throws at you. This Grace is already available to you. Rest in that Grace.
