WHERE ARE THE CONVERTED?
“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:31-32 (KJV)
No one begs the converted to do any work in the church. The converted count it a privilege to be used by God. God used Apostle Peter after his conversion. As he went from place to place to preach, he told the people: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:” (1 Peter 5:6)
Speaking further Apostle Peter declared: “… Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” (1 Peter 5:8-12)
The same Peter began to strengthen the brethren showing them how to successfully navigate the challenges in life. But today, we can hardly get a believer to put a phone call through to another member that was not in church, and yet you are saying: “I’m glad that I am saved”. You are not converted!
The hallmark of the converted are souls established, brethren strengthened, and kingdom impacted. Today, my question is: “Where are the converted?” Don’t just sit down enjoying the atmosphere in the church, roll up your sleeves and get to work, strengthen your brethren.
