WE WALK BY FAITH

“For we walk by faith, not by sight:” 2Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
The journey of the believer is never by sight but by faith. Why is it by faith? Because grace has already been supplied. All you need to do is to take what has already been supplied. Jesus has done the harder part. He has done the supply. Believe it and receive it. That is all the scripture is saying. It is our faith that has the capacity to take what the Grace of God has supplied.
In the law of aerodynamics, there comes a time when the pilots are not seeing anything again. The only thing that will help them is listening to the control tower. And so, the control tower will say descend 3000 meters. Though he is not seeing anything, he descends. From the tower, he will be told turn your plane to the right at such and such angle and the pilot would turn the plane.
The pilot may not be seeing anything, yet he doesn’t bother himself about that. He has faith in the words proceeding from the control tower. He hears another instruction. Come down another 1000 meters’ and he goes down. That is how he will now be brought down to a point where he will begin to see. What was the pilot doing all this while? He was trusting in the control tower!
Child of God, when the question arises in your heart like: “What do I do or what do I hold on to”? The answer is trust in God. I don’t know how I will land but I trust you. I am not seeing my way out, but I trust you. I don’t know whether it will work or not, but I trust you. We have a lot of believers who no more trust God because they want to walk by sight. The believer’s life is a walk of faith. The last time I checked the scriptures in Hebrew 10:38, it says: “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him” (KJV)
