UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
God’s love for you, like we saw yesterday is unconditional. He loved you before you accepted Him into your life. So, the fact that you are saved is not what qualified you; He qualified you, that is why you are saved.
We are in a season where many are exchanging gifts; people travel the world over to join their loved ones or to take their loved ones out for a holiday. There is so much sharing in the atmosphere; it is a great time of eating and drinking. While we are doing this, we must not forget the reason for the season. At the centre of it all is the Man who loved us even when we were unlovable. He came into the world and His own received Him not (John 1:11) but in spite of that, He did not cast us away. He still went ahead and paid the price. Do you know that if you were the only sinner in the world, Jesus would have still died? That is how much He loves you. So, how do you love Him in return?
Many of us get born again and suddenly we no longer have no friends who are not born again – we practically cut everyone off and stay glued to fellow believers. Child of God, we are in the world but not of the world. Our assignment is not to cut them off but to show them the love of God just like it was shown to us. God loves the sinner but hates sin; so, we must be like our Father and constantly show His love to our world.
In this season, go out of your way to reach out to others. Send out cards, texts messages, chats, gifts and let the love of God flow from you to the dying world. God wants the whole world saved, but He cannot do anything if we do not step out. We are the extension of His hands and feet, let us go out there and tell the world about God’s unconditional love.
