TRAIN THE NEXT GENERATION

TRAIN THE NEXT GENERATION

“Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it”. Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

When Abraham and Isaac got to the mountain, he took his son and tied him up. And the son was relaxed. What a son that his father has well taught! Parents teach your children! Our Bible text says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he grows, he will not depart from it.” Parents, teach your children. Many times, when people say, my child doesn’t want to come to our church again, the failure of parents is expressed.

Sit down with your son and daughter and let them know why you do the things you do. Don’t just preach to them by your words; let them see you do those things too. Action speaks louder than words. Children learn faster what they see than what they hear.

As a parent or guardian, don’t say they told us they won’t go to our church again, and then we clapped for them. That is a parental failure! This is where the family altar comes in. Pray together concerning family needs, and when God answers, share the testimony at the family devotion. Tell that child what God did for you! Tell him how you had nothing, and God raised you. Let him see where you were and where you are now. Tell him how God showed Himself strong in your life in diverse ways and delivered you supernaturally. No child will hear your true testimony and will not want to serve your God.

When I see some of our children, born in the church, engaged in service, carrying a microphone, handling the equipment in the control room, welcoming new people, and carrying a camera, do you know what that does to me as a spiritual father? It rejuvenates me. It makes me strong. Tell me how God will not bless such children. These are the things that separate the men from the boys.

I declare that your sons and daughters will make you proud. Your children will not be vagabonds. Your dreams and desires concerning them will be accomplished. They will occupy cities, gates, and territories.
