TIMIDITY IS NOT TOLERATED IN THE KINGDOM

TIMIDITY IS NOT TOLERATED IN THE KINGDOM

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

It is not acceptable for a believer to be timid. God has given us boldness to enter into the Holy of Holies. Apostle Paul was writing from the prison and he said in Philippians 1:20: “According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that by nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death” (KJV). Boldness is not something you put up today and after service you throw it away.  It is always there even unto death.

In Mark 15:43, Joseph of Arimathea could not have gone to Pilate, but he had to go. Though he was an influential person, he needed boldness to go there “Joseph of Arimathea, an honourable Counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came and went in boldly unto Pilate and craved the body of Jesus.” Beloved, you need boldness to face an interview panel or delve into some business areas. You need boldness in every area of your life. That was why God said unto Joshua to be courageous when He commissioned him (Joshua 1:5-7 KJV).

In other words, God was saying to Joshua, “I have chosen you to take them to the promise land but I want you to do something. Be courageous!  You are going to meet with giants but be courageous.  I have given you the land but be courageous.  If you are not courageous, they will make you turn back even in the midst of battle.”

In the book of Hebrews 13:6 the Word of God declares: “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (KJV) I stand in faith and rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation against your life. You will stand boldly anywhere you go. Fear shall not have dominion over you.
