THERE IS POWER IN BELIEVING
“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:” Ruth 1:16 (KJV)
A whole book was dedicated to Ruth the Moabitess because of her faith and steadfastness. The difference between Ruth and Orpah is what they chose to believe. Orpah believed that a bird in hand is better than nine in the bush. But that is not the bible! She probably believed that heaven helps those who help themselves. That also is not the bible! Orpah stopped believing and went back to what she used to know that failed her before she got married. God wanted to change her story, but just because she met an obstacle, she stopped believing.
But Ruth continued steadfastly in her journey of faith. “And Ruth said: whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God’’. Ruth 1:16 KJV. In other words, Naomi stop talking to me about the issue. It is a settled matter. I am going with you. God heard her words. Believe met with God’s Word! And her story changed. Not only that Ruth was changed, but she was also found in the lineage of Jesus Christ. “Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse,” (Matthew 1:5 NKJV).
There is power in believing. When you believe God’s Word, you automatically step into the realm of unlimited possibilities. “Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23 NKJV). When you believe, you step into the realm of God. And the Bible declares: “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke1:37. NKJV.
No Word of God is void of power. If God says it, then know that the Word carries within it the gene to produce what God said. Your part is to believe. Stop stressing about how the Word of God will come to pass. That is not your business. Leave that to the Holy Ghost! Your assignment is to believe! “So, he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 NKJV. When you believe, you activate the power of the Holy Ghost. If you will believe, your life will be filled with testimonies.
