THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU IN CHRIST

THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU IN CHRIST

“Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee;” (Zechariah 9:12 KJV)

The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to live a life without hope. When hope is gone, then one does not feel the need to live any longer; you lose the will to live. This is why some people commit suicide. The reason why today, there is a reassuring word from God’s throne room of grace, to anyone that is on the verge of hopelessness, with no route of escape. God has a word for you – there is hope for you in Christ!

If you have been watching the news lately, you will notice that there is so much violence almost everywhere. There is distress and confusion all over the place. Everywhere you turn, people are complaining in their millions, for different reasons. Indeed, the world is in a cup of trembling. Now, there is a tendency to throw up your hands, thinking that there is no way out, but beloved, in Christ, we have hope; not just here on earth, but in the world to come.

Our text today mentions “prisoners of hope”, meaning that there is an answer. I don’t know the condition you are in today, but I want to reassure you that God is turning things around for you. You may have been humiliated, deprived and denied what should ordinarily accrue to you, but remember that you serve a God who specializes in changing situations and glorifying Himself. He will glorify Himself even through your situation! I see God throwing His weight around for you, and catching the enemy unawares. He will restore you to your throne and put a smile on your face. I guarantee you that the devil will try to keep you bound with his lies, don’t listen to him; he is nothing but a liar. You have an anchor for your soul, that is sure and steadfast – Jesus Christ. He never abandons His own.

God knows how to subdue every enemy around you. Oh yes, He knows. The tempest may be raging and billows tossing high but God knows how to dismantle everything in a moment. It does not matter how long you have been in that situation, I declare that you are coming out. Your God rules in the affairs of men, therefore you have the victory! Celebrate!
