THERE IS A PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE

“For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not
of evil to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

 

God is never taken unawares. He is not wondering what to do as if His back is against the
wall. He never wonders how to handle situations or see His people through their challenges.
Nothing you are faced with right now has taken God unawares. The last time I checked, He is
sitting down and laughing at the devil because he is already a defeated foe. What the devil
meant for evil, God will turn it around for your good.

 

Beloved, you are not an accident of birth. You are not a mistake at all. Even if your parents
never expected you to be born, you were born because you are in the plan of God. So, where
you are right now, you are part of God’s plan and agenda. He had a purpose for you ever
before you were born. It was not after your birth that He began to wonder what He would do
with you. No! He already had a purpose for you. There is a vision, a plan, and a destiny that
God has ordained for you. Your destiny is very colourful.

 

In our text, God was speaking to the children of Israel under captivity: “I know the plans I
have for you…. plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a
future.” In other words, there is an end that He has purposed, planned and designed for you to
attain. And so wherever you are, a global platform has been ordained for you to mount on.
You are not a mistake. His intention for you is that you should achieve it. Irrespective of the
challenges, the pressures, the difficulties, the obstacles, and the banana peels of life that you
must navigate through, you are still in God’s plan.
