THERE IS A PROCESS

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)

One of the tragedies of modern-day Christians is the microwave mentality. We want to claim it and receive it just like that, but I come to announce to you today that the word of God will not fall on you like a bag of cherries. There is a process to receiving all that God has ordained for you.

Our scripture for the day gives an insight into the process. God said to Jeremiah, Call unto Me. That is where it all begins – Call. To call unto God, first, you must believe that He is, and He is ready to hear you. To call unto God talks about having faith in Him. It is not an exercise in futility. It is a deliberate act knowing that when you call, He answers.

Secondly, to call speaks to a level of intentionality. What are you calling on Him for? Are you calling on Him to fulfil all righteousness or are you calling because you know He will answer? This brings me to the prayer requests dropped at the beginning of the year. Did you just scribble something, or are they goals you believe you will achieve with God on your side?

Thirdly, we have an assurance, He said “I will answer thee”. It is not a probability; it is 100% certain that he will answer. So when you call, and you know He answers, what do you do? You listen. Answering implies God will speak. He will give you instructions. He will guide you in the way that you should go. He will give you insights. All of these are part of answering.

Like I have said repeatedly, when you ask God for money, He will not cause money to rain – Dollars, Pound Sterling, Naira or any other currency. No, He will give you ideas that will bring wealth into your hands. It is the same thing here. So when you call, please listen. Always have a paper and biro with you in the place of prayer to receive instructions from God and as you follow, you will see incredible results in Jesus’ name.
