THE WISDOM OF GOD IS ORDAINED FOR YOUR GLORY

THE WISDOM OF GOD IS ORDAINED FOR YOUR GLORY

“Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world,
nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a
mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.”
1 Corinthians 2: 6-7 (KJV)

Beloved, it is an established truth that the world today is in a cup of trembling, with many not
being able to fathom present-day happenings or fashion solutions to the compelling
challenges of this age. However, this should not be surprising to any believer because all the
kingdoms of this world shall be shaken. It is only God’s kingdom that is unshakable. And we
belong to that kingdom.

Apostle Paul, in his writing, acknowledged that the wisdom of the rulers of this age is coming
to nothing or will be out-of-date. This is why our conduct, communication, thoughts, beliefs,
or actions as believers cannot be founded upon such wisdom that is fading away. Instead, our
lives should be hinged on the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God limits us. Without the
wisdom of God, the believer is not different from the rest. The wisdom of God distinguishes
believers and sets them apart among equals.

According to the scripture, we speak the wisdom of God “in a mystery”. What does that
mean? You may think it to mean that the wisdom of God is mysterious or difficult to
understand. But beyond these definitions, Paul was writing that the wisdom of God is truth
concealed in the mind of God. It remains hidden until God chooses to reveal it. Functioning
in the wisdom of God brings you into the realm of glory. You cannot partake of this until you
begin to operate in God’s wisdom.

If there is one thing you must understand, it is that the wisdom of God has been ordained for
your glory.
