THE POWER OF WHAT YOU BELIEVE
“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23 KJV
In the book of Mark chapter 9, a certain man came to Jesus after they had descended from the mount of transfiguration. He narrated his son’s deplorable condition since birth to Jesus, and how he brought him to Jesus’ disciples, but they couldn’t heal him. Then he added, “If you can do anything, have compassion on us”. However, Jesus turned it around and said it is not about me, it is about whether you can believe. I love what the man said in Mark 9:24. Let me put it in my own words; he said since the issue is about believing, even if my belief is not strong enough, help me, help my unbelief.
So you see, whichever way you look at it, God is on your side. I don’t know if my belief is up to par but help my unbelief. God wants to help you. Today, God is set to release you completely from everything the enemy has done. No matter how long you have been in the situation, it will become a thing of the past.
The difference between Ruth and Orpah lies in what they chose to believe. Orpah felt a bird in hand was better than nine in the bush. But that is not biblical. She chose to walk by sight and help herself. She went back to what she was used to, that had failed her before she got married. God wanted to change her story but she didn’t believe. She turned back simply because she met an obstacle. However, Ruth held on to what she believed. “And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God” (Ruth 1:16 KJV).
God heard this declaration of faith. Her belief met God’s word and her story changed. She broke into the lineage of Jesus. What do you desire today? What are your expectations? Believe and receive!
