THE INEXHAUSTIBLE RICHES OF CHRIST
“Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:” Ephesians 3:8-9 (KJV)
Paul, in his epistle to the Ephesians, declares that God had appointed him to declare the mysteries of Christ to the Gentiles. He received the gospel by revelation. Before then, the revelation was hidden. But at the appointed time, like now; God through His Spirit revealed the benefits they had in Christ as fellow heirs and joint partakers of God’s promise. Paul was saying in effect that he was privileged to have the responsibility to declare the good news of the inexhaustible riches and generosity of Christ.
That is why he prayed in the book of Ephesians 1:18: ‘The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.” Beloved, God desires that we have full knowledge of what Jesus Christ died and resurrected to give us and appropriate it to live the standard of life that He desires for us. However, not until you know. The devil will continue to garage you into believing that where you are is the best you can ever attain. Don’t settle for his lies. You have not even scratched the surface in terms of what God has proposed for you.
You should be restless over the current state of affairs across the world, especially as it concerns believers living out God’s perfect plans for their lives. I must confess to you that I am. Things have gone out of hand in today’s world. Today we are seeing “servants upon horses and princes walking as servants upon the earth” (Ecclesiastes. 10:7). Beloved, this is an anomaly! And it is definitely not what Jesus died for. You must desire to attain all that Jesus paid the ultimate price to give you.
