THE IMPORTANCE OF CORPORATE FELLOWSHIP

THE IMPORTANCE OF CORPORATE FELLOWSHIP

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”.
Matthew 18:20 (KJV)
Do you know that there are things you could never access on your own? It does not matter how
frequently you read or know your bible, there are benefits you could never access unless
someone shares it with you and so, there is a need to gather: There is a need for gathering right
where you are. There is a need to gather with your family.
As a man, you are the priest of the house. If you are a single parent, you are the priest of the
house. Take your position! Begin to share the word. Begin to impact others. Begin to pray for
them. God is there in your midst.
In the book of Acts 14, some Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowds to
their side. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of town, thinking he was dead. But as the
believers gathered around him, he got up and went back into the town.
A remarkable experience of coming together is seen in the book Acts 13. As they were
worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the work
for which I have called them.” So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them
and sent them on their way.” The church prayed for them, ordained them, and dispatched them to
go and fulfill their ministries. Hands were laid on them by the church.
Outside of fellowship, you may not have such experience or privilege. The church is a support
based where you can be recharged, stirred up, and encouraged. There is no way you can gather
and wouldn’t be encouraged or stirred up. There is a gift in you that needs to come alive.
