THE END IS NEAR

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:12-13 (KJV)

The world we live in is in a cup of trembling, and it is spiraling downwards. Evil is intensifying, and it is one of the things that Jesus said will be part of the signs of His coming. He said that when you begin to see these things, know that your redemption is at hand. Not that we have not been seeing evil before, but we are talking about the intensity of its perpetuation today. It is so much unprecedented! However, that is not to suggest that God and his children are in trouble. No! It is just to make us understand that we are living witnesses of the fulfillment of prophecy.

We may not know the day or the hour when the Son of Man will come, but we can know through the signs that the time is near. For instance, we can’t know where the wind is coming from, but we can see the effects of the wind when it is blowing. So, there are effects. Things are showing us that we are climaxing the age. And what is important is that we should be prepared for it.

Apostle Paul, in his epistle to his protégé and son in ministry, Timothy, declares: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” 2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV). Some believers today are growing weary. But God says we should not grow weary.

Many do not know which way to turn. As a result, they are burnt out and tired. They are spiritually drained. Like Gideon, they are asking: If God be for us, why are these things happening? Why are my prayers not answered? Why does it look like the world is doing better than those who are serving God? Why are we faced with these challenges?

Child of God, in the midst of all the challenges, you must understand that God is for you. He will never, never leave you nor forsake you. Settle this in your spirit; God is for you and with you.
