THE DEVIL HAS NO RIGHT TO KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE

THE DEVIL HAS NO RIGHT TO KEEP YOU IN BONDAGE

“Because God’s children are human beings – made of flesh and blood – the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.” (Hebrews 2:14 NLT)

Our text makes explains very clearly why Jesus had to come in the flesh, so that as a human being, he could break the power of the devil. Therefore, you need to understand the mystery of what we are involved in. Jesus destroyed the power of death. Only in this way could He set free those who have lived as slaves under the power of the fear of death. But I want to tell you that the chain is broken. The price has been paid and the devil has no right to keep you in any form of bondage. You are free!

The truth is that you are the healed that the devil is trying to make sick. You are the rich the devil is trying to make poor. You are the free the devil is trying to bind. Always see yourself from the standpoint of the finished work of Calvary. When Jesus said it is finished, He meant IT IS FINISHED. The full price had been paid. There is nothing you can add to, to or subtract from it. So, why are you still carrying the load of sin?

It is ignorance that keeps people in bondage. Ignorance of what has already been obtained through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. You see, when Jesus said it is finished, it was an announcement that the price you were to pay, He had paid it completely. It is finished means that, the hold of Satan over your life is destroyed. Satan has no right to place any sickness or poverty on you anymore. You can rise up strong in the strength of this truth and refuse every advancement of the devil in your life. You don’t need to struggle, all you need to do is to receive whatever has been secured for you on the cross.
