SUBMIT YOURSELF TO HIS AUTHORITY
“And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:6 (KJV)
Beloved, as you obey God, you can subdue situations, no matter how complex they are. Situations and circumstances just bow to you. Even devils have no choice but to obey your commands. Let us look at the scripture in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 and draw some inferences from it. It says “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal; but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing to captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”. Did you see that? Pulling down strongholds, is just an aspect while casting down thoughts, and imagination is another. When we pray, strongholds are pulled down and they stay down. But that is not all.
Look closely at the text in verse 6. It says, having in a readiness to avenge all disobedience when your obedience is complete. Beloved, you cannot enforce a law you do not submit to. If you must enforce the authority of Jesus in any area of your life, you must submit yourself to His authority. You must take your time to learn of Him and follow Him every step of the way. I want you to know that every promise God makes to you is an indication of what He has already perfected concerning you. It is already a done deal! However, it will not fall on you like a pack of cherries. Obedience is still the key to divine destiny.
The choice is yours, but I encourage you to stay on the path of obedience and eat the good of the land. Review every area of your life, your tithing, your prayer life, your commitment to church activities, relationships at home, in the office, and the church. If you can spot disobedience in any area, deal with it immediately. Purge yourself of it and stand in faith that God will help you do that which you have committed yourself to. As you do, you will partake of all that the Lord has promised you.
