STORMS ARE PART OF LIFE
“Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil” Matthew 4:1 (KJV)
Jesus Christ, after his baptism and confirmation, was led up of the Spirit of God to be tempted by the devil in the wilderness. The wilderness should be the wrong place for Jesus to go but God was doing some work. God was up to something. The good news is that he went through the storm of the wilderness and came out with the Spirit of God upon Him in a very heavy way.
So many times, the storms of life can come. When they come, what you do will determine whether you can ride the storm or that the storm will destroy you. The storm will always take you home if you know how to ride it.
If you have had the privilege of watching Surfers; you will agree with me that the higher the waves, the better it is. The same wave that took them very high as though they were going to drown in the same wave that brings them to the shoreline.
Storms are challenges of life that we all face in diverse forms. They come in form of loss of career. They come in form of denial of promotion. They come in form of business challenges. They come in form of career and professional challenges. They come in form of health challenges. The storm comes to affect marriage, your ministry, your finances, and all kinds of things. When you encounter storms in your life, know that God is up to something in your life. He is working, even in the storm, to bring you into a wealthy place.
No matter the height or the weight, no matter how loud the voice of the storm that is around you, I want you to understand that you are going to arrive at your shoreline. You will eventually come back home safe. That storm will not destroy you. Christ in you will give you total victory over every storm of life.
