SPEAK UP
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” 2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV
Every believer has the spirit of faith. God gave you the spirit of faith the day you got born again. So when the enemy begins to tell you that it is not working, open your mouth and speak what you believe. That is how to hold fast your profession. Don’t let him have the final say because he will surely speak to you. Speak up! Find the promise, then pray concerning it and declare it before the devil. And keep on saying it.
Every time the devil speaks, get up and speak also. Get up and speak seven times against one of his words. You must learn to speak back! We are used to speaking to God in prayers but you must also learn to speak back to the devil whenever he starts telling you the negative. Secondly, speak to things and situations. Hold fast! Don’t let the devil have the last say in your life, in your health, in your marriage or in your business.
Our text says “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken;” It is not enough to say you believe without opening your mouth. Then in verse 16, it says: “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”(KJV)
When it looks as though everything around you is falling apart, it says don’t worry, you are getting stronger inside. It is the enemy that is trying to make you look weak by the things he is throwing at you. Verse 17 says: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”(KJV)
Beloved, God sees those things the enemy is throwing at you as light. And the scripture says ‘they are but for a moment…’. In other words, God is saying that it is just for a season in your life. It will pass away. It has no capacity to stop you.
