SPEAK THE WORD TO YOURSELF
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
Learn to speak the word to yourself. It will change your thoughts and your feeling. Repeat the scriptures to yourself. This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My mouth shall make my boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear and be glad. Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name forever. I look unto him, my face is enlightened, and I am not ashamed. Put your confident expectation in Him. Speak what God said. Say it on daily basis. Put it in your bathroom and in your mirror. Put it on your fridge and everywhere. Speak positive things to your family. Speak life! Speak breakthrough! Speak His goodness!
Declare that God is bringing you out of that situation and that you are coming out bigger, better, and stronger than you have ever known. Speak because it will affect your feeling. Your feeling is so key and critical. If you feel negative, you are going to take a negative decision. However, if you feel positive, your disposition will be entirely different.
That was how Joshua succeeded. Moses had just died, and God was telling Joshua to get up and begin to lead the children of Israel into the land of promise. Joshua was so frightened, and God pointed him to the word. Let the word of God be your thought pattern; not what somebody said. When the chips are down, you will end up doing what you are hearing. That is what God was saying to Joshua. Stop rehearsing what your friend said concerning your situation. Keep speaking God’s word to yourself.
You must learn to use your tongue to declare good things concerning you.
