SIT WHERE THEY SAT

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
Hebrews 7:25 (KJV)

One of the lessons we need to learn from Jesus is His ability to connect with us. Many believers today cannot connect with those around them because they think they are better than others. But look at Jesus. He came, He paid the price for our sins but did not stop at that. Having paid the full price, He knew that we could not achieve it on our own, so He went a step further to intercede consistently for us.

Let me ask you, when last did you intercede for the unbelievers around you? When last did you intercede for your family members and colleagues? When last did you intercede for your neighbors. If anyone should take a walk and not bother about man, it should be Jesus. Remember, He took on Himself the sins of the whole world; a weight so huge that He cried when His Father for the first time, turned His eyes away from Him. Yet, having suffered all, He turns around to make intercession for you.

If Jesus can do that for you, then you owe it a debt to do that for others. All that Jesus did was to set an example for us to follow. There are many out there who our prayer will bring back into the fold. There are multiplied thousands who are lost and cannot find their way, that your prayer can bring in. Don’t go on evangelism, if you will not take time to pray. No one willingly wants to go to hell, but the prince of this world has blinded their eyes and to remove the veil, you can only do it in the place of intercession.

God is calling you to partner with Him to win souls into the Kingdom. Will you? Beloved, the time is shorter than we expect. You cannot afford to procrastinate any further. Let us take this assignment seriously and give it our best shot. No one has the promise of tomorrow. Don’t leave till tomorrow what you can do today.
