SING FOR JOY

“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:1 KJV)

In Christ, you are greatly blessed, you are highly favoured, and you are deeply loved. You might be looking at yourself and your circumstances, and wondering, are you sure I am blessed? Yes, child of God, you are blessed. Your blessing is not a function of your current situation but of that which God has perfected for you in eternity. You may not look like it, but you are blessed. You may not feel like it, but you are blessed. It is not about feeling but about what God has said concerning you.

The scripture above is a wonder; God is asking the barren to sing. In the natural, you want to ask, what will make the barren sing? Singing is an expression of joy. How can I sing when I am barren? How can I sing when there is no money in my pocket, no husband, no wife, and no job? Yet, the scripture says sing! It is not natural to sing in such precarious situations. How do I sing when my body is hurting and there is no food on my table? It is so unnatural. You can’t sing when there is an adversary around you. Why then did God command you to sing? It is because He sees the end from the beginning. He sees and calls the things that are not as though they were.

So I challenge you to be like God. Put your mouth to work for you. Begin to sing and dance with your testimony in view. But it has not manifested yet you say – yes, as at today, it has not yet manifested, but it will surely come. Faith is calling the things that be not as though they were. Whatever the condition you may find yourself, provision was made ahead of time. Whatever the situation you are faced with, the answer has already been given. So you can sing now and rejoice.
