SING BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE VICTORY
Comments
“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 54:1 KJV
Someone who is barren is in great difficulty, travail and pain. This is not only in childbearing, but in all areas of life. The general feeling is that you are a failure and of no use.
No one rejoices in that condition. Yet, God is telling you to sing today. Why is He telling us to sing in spite of our condition? He is saying so because if you look at the book of Isaiah 53:1, He says: “Who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed”. (KJV)
Who will believe the report means who will believe that what He has promised shall be fulfilled? Who will believe that:”….he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him .He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”(Isaiah 53:2-3 KJV)
This is the story of our turnaround and it is the reason why we must sing. The eyes of the ancient prophet of God was opened by God to look through the prophetic glass and to see into the future of what provision God had already made for us which was about to manifest. This provision was made right from the beginning as documented in the book of Genesis 3:15. When man fell God said the seed of the woman would bruise the head of the enemy. Ever before man came on the scene the lamb was slain before the foundation of the world.
Our victory has been perfected even before the challenge came. And the only thing you have to do is to rejoice. Stop mourning and start singing. You have the victory!
