SATAN HAS BEEN DISARMED
“He canceled the record of charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross.” Colossians 2:14-15 NLT
If you are a believer, it means that you have been discharged, acquitted, there is no appeal and the case is closed. Nevertheless, some believers have more faith in what the devil has done and in what he is doing than in what Christ did. What about what Christ did? Are you saying that the devil is more powerful than Jesus? I don’t know where this erroneous teaching of amplifying Satan’s works came from. We must deliberately stop it.
Sometimes, it appears that those who stand on the Word of God have suddenly disappeared from the radar. Do you know that the least believer is more powerful than the devil? What I mean by the newest believer is one who just gave his or her life to Christ. Such a person is more powerful than the devil and the devil knows it.
One of the tools the devil uses against believers is condemnation. I know you are saved. I know you are born again and heaven bound but how bold are you before the devil? How bold are you in the presence of God? In Genesis chapter 3, we read the account of Adam’s fall. The first thing Adam did the moment he fell was to hide. God came as usual to him and asked, “Adam, where are you?” Adam said, “When I heard your voice, I went to hide. I am naked.” Who told Adam that he was naked? Obviously, the devil told him to go and hide because he had fallen.
Interestingly, some believers still go into hiding even after they have received salvation. They are either hiding from God or hiding from the devil because they are still struggling with sin.
Beloved, know it today that Satan has been disarmed and there is nothing he can do about it. Receive boldness based on the finished work of Christ on Calvary.
