RETURN TO CELEBRATE THE LORD
“Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them rejoice over their enemies.”
2 Chronicles 20:27 KJV
When they were blessed, what did they do? From the valley of Berachah, they returned to Jerusalem with joy. You shall return with joy because the battle is over.
According to the scriptures, Jehoshaphat led the procession to Jerusalem. What does that mean? If you are a leader, it is time to be at the forefront. This is not the time to straddle the fence. This is the time to make your life count. This is the time to say yes: I can be depended upon. Jehoshaphat and his people returned to the house of God to celebrate their victory. They did not fizzle out simply because the Lord has blessed them. They returned because they knew that except the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that builds it. Except the Lord keeps the city, the watchman is awake in vain.
The same God who gave Jehoshaphat victory will also give you victory. And at the end of the day, you will return. You will come back to celebrate the most-high God and tell Him that of a truth He has been gracious to you.
“Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” (Isaiah 51:11 KJV)
My joy is that God focused them on something. He said feed on my love. Praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever. In the battles of life, never forget God’s, everlasting love. His love for you is irrevocable, irreversible, ironclad, and blood-bought. If any man touches you, He has touched God. You are the apple of His eyes. God will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Your life will not be destroyed. You will recover all. Your portion in the land of the living, no power will take from you. From this moment forward, whatever has mocked your faith is terminated. You will pursue, you will overtake, and you will recover all.
