PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD

PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Ephesians 6:11 KJV

In the book of John 17:23, Jesus was praying to the Father that the Church should understand the vital union between Him and the Father, so that they may be made perfect and walk in dominion. Those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32).  Strong in what? They should be strong in the Lord, which is where their real strength lies.

The book of Ephesians 6:10 says: we should be strong in the Lord. This means we should be strong inside the Lord. You are not a match in your own strength to the devil. There is only one person the devil fears, JESUS. That is why you need to disappear so that Jesus will take over the battle for you. That is why you are given the whole armour of God. When you put on the whole armour, you put on Christ.

The Bible says, having your loins girt with truth. That is knowing Jesus Christ as the truth. Knowing Him as your Lord and Saviour and entering into His Word. Then it goes on to say, ‘put on the breastplate of righteousness.’ Righteousness means right standing with God. And our righteousness is Jesus. Your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. In other words, anywhere you go, you bring the good news. Jesus Christ is the Prince of peace. On your head, you put on the helmet of salvation. Jesus is the Captain of our salvation. You put Him on your head and your mind is renewed, you have the mentality of heaven.

It also says, you put on the shield of faith. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith. It says to us, then you put on the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God with which you shall be able to fight the enemy. Jesus is the Word of God. When you put on all these things, you disappear. And what does the devil see? He sees Jesus!
