PRESS IN

 Dearly Beloved, I bring you greetings in the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ the Son of the living God and our soon coming King. Welcome to another Sunday in the month of February, what a mighty God we serve. Today, we will be discussing on the subject of pressing into what God has said. You see every promise you read in the scripture is not telling you what God is going to do, rather it is letting you know what has already been perfected in eternity, all that is left for you to do is to press into it. Same thing goes for prophetic declarations; it has already been perfected in eternity, waiting for someone who will latch on to it.

 

“Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.” (Philippians 3:12 ESV)

 

“I press on to make it my own…” how powerful is this? This shows us very clearly that we can receive manifestations of the promises in the scriptures and the prophetic declarations made by God’s servant, but there is a pressing in that is required. It is in pressing in that we are able to truly personalize these words and make it our own. At the beginning of the year, God told us what He has already perfected for this year, but the question is how many of us are still holding on to it. Beloved, rather than give up on the Word, I implore you to even press in further. Turn that promise and prophetic declaration into prayers, make it your daily confession, meditate on it, and press into it.

 

A lot of times, people give up easily, they hold on for a few days or weeks, pray, confess, and when they don’t see immediate results, they think it’s not working. Child of God these are not the days to throw in the towel and quit, no this is the time to stand steadfast and resilient, to keep standing against all odds because the Word of God will never fail (Luke 1:37 NLT). It is time to press in like never before, get out those promises, declarations you have stored away and start to really press in, and you will surely testify. 2020 is your year of All Grace and Grace will be manifest in all areas of your life.
