PREPARE TO CELEBRATE
Dearly Beloved, welcome to the last month in the year 2020 – December. What a year it has been, it is only by His mercies that we are still standing. Like the Psalmist said indeed, What shall we render unto this God for all His benefits towards us (Psalms 116:12). Even if our bodies were full of tongues, it still won’t be enough to praise this awesome, magnificent, and incredible God, He is a good God. To Him alone, we ascribe all honor, power, dominion, and majesty, blessed be the lamb of God. Thank You, Jesus.
Child of God, I’ve come to let you know that this year will not end without you celebrating. You see the God we serve is not waiting for perfect conditions to manifest Himself in your life, He is the God above all situations and circumstances, the God who calls light out of darkness, therefore don’t cancel yourself out. Prepare to celebrate because it is your time.
“And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.” – Matthew 10:11-14 (KJV)
In this account of scripture, Jesus sent His disciples to the neighboring towns and villages and told them to dwell in any place that celebrated their coming or else leave the place. The analogy from this scripture is that whatever you do not receive and celebrate will inevitably exit your life. I have come to challenge you not to allow anything to make you disbelieve God. Remember He did not call you to seek Him in vain. Begin to consciously celebrate your desires.
Is it healing, a new job, a new contact, fruit of the womb, a breakthrough in any area, beloved begin your celebration. when you celebrate your expectations, you are demonstrating your faith. You are simply agreeing with all that God has packaged for you. Mary said in Luke 1:38, “be it unto me according to your word.” In other words, she put the responsibility of seeing the prophecy come to pass squarely on God. Celebrate all the promises of God towards you from His Word and watch God flex His muscles on your behalf.
Remember next week is our Annual Thanksgiving. It’s another opportunity to celebrate the goodness and faithfulness of God towards us. Prayerfully prepare towards it, and come ready to bless the name of the Lord. You might be saying what do I have to celebrate, this has been a tough year, but remember it is of His mercies that we are not consumed, it is only the living that can still hope. The fact that you are still around is proof that it is not over with you. The God of the 11th hour will still manifest Himself in your life. It is still your year of All Grace.
As you go into this week, be assured that God is committed to blessing you. He will fill your mouth with testimonies. Your miracle will not be aborted.
Maranatha!

Dr. Mike Okonkwo
