PRAY IN THE SPIRIT
“Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26
Many times, I have come across Christians who do not have the prayer language of the Spirit. Such people don’t know the limitations they are putting on themselves. The Bible says that the Spirit helps our weakness. He is the only one who knows how to articulate prayers that will be acceptable before God. God uses the foolish things to confound the wise and the prudent. It may be sounding foolish but I tell you, there is a re-arrangement in the Spirit. When you pray in tongues, things are being re-arranged.
The Bible says that when we speak in tongues, we are speaking mysteries ordained for our glory. There are mysteries concerning your glory that you can’t speak in ordinary language. There are mysteries that God has packaged for you that will shock your world. The Bible says in the book of 1 Corinthians 2:6-7: “We speak wisdom… yet not the wisdom of this world…but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world unto our glory…” That’s what happens when you speak in tongues. If only you understand that speaking in tongues is a powerful New Testament weapon for the believer. So, don’t just stay there, and be playing gentleman, the devil is not a gentleman. If he had his way, he would wipe you out.
When you know what belongs to you, you are not intimidated. I pray a lot in the Holy Ghost. There are two very dangerous weapons a believer cannot afford to toy with. One of them is praying in the Holy Spirit and the other one is the declaration of the scriptures. These are dangerous weapons! They are dangerous arsenals that the devil has no answer to. I challenge you to engage them in your favour and you will put the devil on the run. Creation will answer to you in Jesus’ Name.
