ONE FLOCK AND ONE SHEPHERD

ONE FLOCK AND ONE SHEPHERD

“And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice, and there will be one flock and one shepherd.” John 10:16 (NKJV)

Today, I want to draw your attention back to the basics-the foundation of our faith and the pillar upon which this Ministry is built. Like Paul, it is also good to call ourselves to the remembrance of certain basic truths that the Ministry is built upon.

Ministry today has gone nuclear, many are adding different strategies, methods and gimmicks to Ministry all in an attempt to draw a crowd and achieve what they consider to be a success. Beloved, that is not the foundation upon which this Ministry is built. Our pay off still remains ‘Power in the Word’ and I still maintain that whatever the Word cannot give you does not exist and you do not need it.

If I am your father in Ministry, then you will stand by the pillar of this foundation. You can have many instructors but only one father. If I then am your father, I challenge you to follow in my steps. Like Paul, I challenge you to follow me as I follow Christ.

If you decide to follow the trend today, you will be distracted. All over the world, the story is the same: manipulation, deceptions and all forms of gimmicks are everywhere. It is a global issue. However, I consider it an aberration to be influenced to do the wrong thing. Can you imagine darkness overpowering light? Do you understand that when light appears, without any announcement, darkness disappears? ‘Jesus said we are the light of the world.’ Why then, do we not influence people to do the right thing?

It is time for us to go back to the Scriptures. The Ministry of Jesus was very simple. ‘So mightily grew the Word and prevailed.’ We have a responsibility to go back to the Scripture and let the Scripture fight for itself. The Word will always prevail in every situation. You do not need to help the Word; simply stand by the Word wherever you find yourself and watch God honour the words you have spoken.
