LOOK UP TO JESUS

“looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2 KJV)

According to the Bible, this is your identity, “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.” (1 Thessalonians 5:5 KJV)

Beloved, as you walk with God, you will not be overwhelmed by the cold and dark places of life. God’s Word has declared that you are sons of light and sons of the day. You are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore, you will not fear the terror of the night because God is there with you.

All you need to do is look up and keep your eyes on Jesus. Don’t look at your circumstance, looking at your circumstance will put you in a cycle of defeat. This is why God tells you to look away from them. The scriptures say, “while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV)

God wants you to be filled with great joy and gladness. But do not think the devil will play dead and watch you enjoy God’s goodness. The devil is aware of God’s good intention for you, and this is the more reason you should keep your eyes away from anything happening around you; they are only happenings. Keep your eyes on what God had said, irrespective of the challenge, pressure or the circumstances. When you need direction, look up to Jesus who has the Word of eternal life. When you see symptoms of sickness on your body, look up to Jesus who has borne our sicknesses and carried our diseases.
