LOOK AT THE WORD
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2 (KJV)
How do we do our running? How do we lay aside the weights and the sin? We do these by looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. How do I look at Jesus? We do this by looking at the word. Jesus is the word. The book of John 1:14 declares: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
As He is, so are we. Therefore, as you look at the word, you are being changed into that image of the word of God. “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18) That’s how to be transformed. Let what you say agree with what you are believing. The devil wants to show you pictures that it will never happen. And at times, his voice would be louder than yours. He will show you different things. He will show you others who never survived. He will tell you this and that.
Beloved, keep saying what you believe even when you have not seen the manifestation. The other day God had to change the name of Abraham and Sarah. Why? So that they could keep hearing and seeing themselves as parents of nations. God wanted them to keep seeing themselves as productive people. And as they kept calling themselves that, they received the manifestation of that which they were saying.
